The village Buljarica: Buljarica is named after the fraternity of Buljarevic, which was mentioned in 1423 for the first time, when the nobleman John Buljarevic together with Pastrovic elders signed the treaty with Republic of Venice. Buljarica is a coastal village of municipality Budva. Its a place of a wild nature.
Getting around: Besides beautiful beach, you can find here the ancient monastery Gradiste from the twelfth century, the tower Kufin Boskovic and the church of St. Petka, a place that was Europe's borders with Turkey from 1571 until 1878. It is worth to mention also a memorial tablet of Emperor Franz Joseph II from 1875 on the Presjeci, as well as villages with the old architecture. According to the census in 2011 in Buljarica live 800 inhabitants. The Pastrovic clan live along the most beautiful part of the Adriatic Coast, between Becici and Canj (Sutomore). Pastrovics had also a fortress on the rocky island near the coast as well as houses for each of Pastrovic's 12 tribes, and the church decided to St. Stefan the protector of Pastrovics. Pastrovics have four monasteries: Praskvica, Gradiste, Rezevici, and Duljevo, as well as thirty six parish churches. Pastrovics' cuisine is well known in Montenegro. Specialties such as roast suckling pig, donuts, fugaca and rustule are unforgettable.
Old town of Budva: Budva is one of the oldest cities on the Adriatic coast, with a history of about 2500 years. The first mention of a settlement here goes back to the 5th century B.C., and was believed to be founded by the son of the Phoenician king. Today the Old town remains on a peninsula and has all the attributes of an old Mediterranean city, with narrow streets, numerous historical sights and monuments.
The Old town of Kotor: The old town is the most famous part of Kotor, where the Kotor history, culture, and tradition are being preserved. The Old town of Kotor has a great number of monuments of the medieval architecture.
Sveti Stefan
Spectacular attraction up close. Experience the most beautiful viewpoints on Sveti Stefan that can be found along the upper coastal road. It's only 12 km from village of Buljarica!
